Coventry Association for International Friendship

Coventry Association for International Friendship (CAIF) is an open association interested in promoting peace, friendship and understanding and for over 50 years it has supported town or city twinning. It plans social events, visits and fundraising. It is in regularly contact with many of Coventry’s 25 partners and has had strong historical links with Volgograd (a link which has been suspended) and particularly long-standing friendship links with Vannes (in Brittany, France), and in Germany the cities of Meschede (in the Sauerland) and Kiel (in Schleswig-Holstein) and Dresden (in Saxony). The partnership with Cork has been recently strenghtened through poetry exchange events. We believe that through people to people contact we can begin to understand one another.
